In the Victorian era of England, foreign news was published in various journals and magazines. One of the most well known was the ILLUSTRATED LONDON NEWS (ILN), started in 1843 and still published today. Quite often the news had taken up to three months to arrive, especially considering such far away places as Hawaii, which amazingly was fairly well covered. We are publishing a book in the near future, on the Hawaiian history, of these engravings but a few important examples are listed below.

EXTREMELY RARE ORIGINAL MANUSCRIPT SHIPS LOG

177. Main part of the Log deals with the voyages of H.M.S.Constance of the Pacific Squadron, under command of F.P.Doughty, all in MANUSCRIPT, neatly and expertly kept, with many hand drawn maps and charts, including full page HONOLULU Harbour. Several references and maps relate to the visits to Hawaii. More details on request. All Logs are RARE as mostly they were handed-in on return to port.
