Van Geel Botanicals
Printed in black/white, then hand coloured at the time by professional artists. Each print is 10"x14", of excellent quality. There are very few antique prints of tropical flowers, artists mainly had to rely on those specimens brought to Europe by overseas expeditions.

Superior quality colour lithographs issued in Brussels, Belgium about 1890 by Lucien Linden with chromo-lithography by Pannemaker. Large format plates, excellent for framing.
John Gould Tropical Birds
(1804-1881) was one of the leading ornithological artists of his time. He produced almost 3000 illustrations of which "The Birds of NEW GUINEA" are among the most sought after and exquisite. These are now scarce and a collector item.
Butler/Frohawk Birds
At the age of 20 he was appointed zoological artist to The Field, a very important naturalist magazine in England. Frowhawk was a talented and prolific artist, producing over 1000 illustrations for various books including Aves Hawaiiensis and Birds of Laysan for Lord Rothschild.

Collection of various HUMMING BIRD prints issued by LIZARS for the Naturalists Library in about 1840. Full hand-colour engravings, print size 4"x6", good condition.

Interesting collection of various FRUIT prints, from a rare agricultural book, printed about 1890-1900. Full colour lithographs on heavy paper, print size 9"x11", all double matted in cream/green = 13"x15", excellent condition.
